June Chaikelson is the new president of Congregation Shaar Hashomayim. She previously served as treasurer of the synagogue. Lawyer Mitchell Brownstein of the firm Brownstein & Brownstein left on the TEAM CANADA Mission to Latin America. Over 400 businesspeople are participating in the mission. Brownstein is also a municipal councillor for the City of Cote Saint Luc, and will be meeting with members of the Mexican business community at TEAM CANADA functions. Brother Herbert Brownstein recently returned from China after joining the Team Quebec Mission led by Premier Lucien Bouchard.
Lawyer Herbert Brownstein, Canadian Bar Association executive, Quebec region, Immigration Section of Overseas Offices coordinator, just returned with the Equipe Quebec mission to China. In addition to the programme offered by the Government of Quebec in association with the Government of China during the mission, Brownstein met with individuals wishing to immigrate to Canada as investors, businesspeople or independents.
